Meet the Potter
Jess grew up in Thetford, Vermont and fell in love with pottery in high school. She started working for Miranda Thomas Pottery in 2001 and has mastered all aspects of throwing and decorating pots.
Developing as an artist and teacher, Jess set up her own pottery at her home in Tunbridge, Vermont, exploring her own designs and connections. She has also honed her skills as a teacher, leading adult pottery classes at Artistree in Pomfret, Vermont.
With Petite Pottery, Jess is offering opportunities for guests and students to get individualized attention in her picturesque studio. She is also making her personal and custom pieces available for sale, previously only accessible privately.
She currently lives on a sunny hilltop in Tunbridge with her husband, twin girls and various animals. In her free time she enjoys riding her horse and camping with her family.
Visit the Pottery
Petite Pottery Studio is housed in the original house on top of the hill on Jess’s property in Tunbridge. This inviting space is, in fact, petite, and painted a warm golden yellow and spreads the light even in the cool light of winter. The wheel faces picture windows overlooking rolling fields and forests beyond that exemplify each of the four seasons. You’ll feel like you are on a creative retreat surrounded by the nature of Vermont.
