Pottery Lessons with Jessica

Welcome to the charming Petite Pottery studio perched on a beautiful hilltop in Vermont!

Private lessons cover learning how to prepare your clay, throwing on the wheel, trimming your thrown piece(s), and glazing them.

You'll get one-on-one instruction in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether it’s your first time or you’re building on past experience, lessons are tailored to meet your needs.

The studio is quiet and filled with natural light, offering space to focus and work at your own rhythm. All materials and kiln firing are included.

Before you come:

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (aprons are available), and avoid rings, bracelets, or watches. Short fingernails are helpful.

Pottery lessons are open to ages 16 and up. Petite Pottery is a welcoming space for everyone.

Classes are non-refundable unless cancelled by Petite Pottery. Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled.

Good to know:

On occasion pots will crack, become glazed to the kiln shelf or even explode in the kiln; this even happens to professionals! Unfortunately, there isn’t any sure way to know if this will happen to a pot before it’s fired, but I will always do my best to limit the chances of these things happening. I always say, don’t get attached to your pot until it’s completely finished!  Caveat artifex!
